SC2 Ministry

Second Chance ministries is for anyone that needs a “second chance”. The hands of this ministry reach into juvenile facilities to help youth who are struggling and into the county, regional, and state correctional facilities as well. We provide education and support for those who suffer with issues of addiction, such as drugs and alcohol. Our motto is, “Once an alcoholic, never an alcoholic again. Once a drug addict, never a drug addict again.” We provide recovery programs that deal with divorce, abuse, and grief. The ultimate goal is salvation, although the ultimate passion is ministry.

Surrendering the Secret:

Abortion Recovery

Surrendering the Secret is an 8-week closed group designed to bring together women who have faced an abortion in their past. Millions of women silently carry the pain and heartbreak of a previous abortion alone.

God desires to heal all of His children from our past and set us on a course toward the abundant life. He has planned for us. Surrendering the Secret leaders are women who have been trained to minister to other women who are hurting from the pain of a past abortion. We provide a safe and confidential environment that facilitates healing and restoration. Please join us for Surrendering the Secret. 43% of American women will have at least one abortion. 79% claim to be Christians. This is an amazing journey through which God sets women free from the pain, heartbreak, and bondage of a past abortion. Isaiah 61:1-4,7

Alcohol / Drug Recovery

The Alcohol Chemical Treatment Series (A.C.T.S) offers people with substance abuse and anger issues a 12 week course of classes. A certificate of completion is awarded after attending 12 classes but the support and education can be continued indefinitely. During these 12 weeks, participants can learn possible reasons they use drugs, alcohol and anger and learn new skills and behaviors.

Each lesson begins with some educational material followed by the use of a visual object lesson and continues with a historical story. Participants will be supported by certified instructors who have personal experiences with addictions, unhealthy lifestyles and unmanageable anger.

This is a structured class with a casual atmosphere. Participants will be able to use lessons to help solve problems in their own lives.

Our goal is to offer our community a support class that offers education and friendship with accountability. Currently, A.C.T.S. is being utilized in 36 states and in 12 countries.

A.C.T.S. class is every Wednesday evening from 6:00-7:00pm.

GriefShare

As an individual struggles with grief, it may be hard to feel optimistic about their future. If you have lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you have probably found that there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel.

That is the reason for GriefShare, a special seminar and support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. This group is sponsored by people who understand what you are experiencing and they offer you comfort and encouragement during this difficult time.

Each GriefShare session includes a video seminar and group discussion. A GriefShare workbook assists you with note taking, journaling and grief study. The videos feature top experts on grief recovery, dramatic reenactments about living with grief and real-life stories of people who have experienced losses like yours.
